I Witnessed an Election...............

The recently concluded elections in the UK were an eye opener and frankly quite interesting.Of course are serious fights, with no quarter given. But some fights are more dignified than others and the aforesaid elections provide lessons on how to foght but maintain intergrity.Presented in narrative vers, here is my take on those elections, trickled to you over several weeks:

The news of the pending elections spread quickly,

The election fever gripped all and sundry,

Election pros and cons became the street talk,

Billboards screamed the news all across the land.

There was no let up on TV, radio, newspapers,

Party leaders and enthusiasts begged for votes over the airwaves,

Leaflets waved at pasersby from trees and lamp posts,

Prospective candidates dazzled frozen smiles from bus stop sheds........

kumnandi!
